Inviting Friends to play Zombies Mode

How can I invite friends from steam? The in game friends tab is linked to Steam since it shows all of my steam friends, even ones that don't own BO1. I try inviting the ones that do have it but they don't seem to receive an invite. Is there a reason why this is happening?

Though all that is true, the reason why they aren't getting the invite via Steam is because the game actually sends in-game invites.

for zombie mode, make sure you're waiting in the lobby while sending invites. I think invites can't be sent properly if that isn't the case. also check that your party privacy setting at zombie lobby isn't closed (set it either invite-only or friends-only). you may also try sending/receiving invites while you and your friends have your games launched already, instead of being on desktop. I don't think hamachi would help in this case, as it's a solution used almost solely for games with LAN support (afaik, BO1 & BO2 zombies don't support LAN-game feature, unlike WaW zombies). lastly, ensure that the game has exceptions on windows firewall programs list, regarding online interactions.

This really sounds like one of you is using a censored version.
That's the stuff we need to deal with here in germany, but don't worrry there is a fix! :)
