My friend can't join my private match on Zombies.
Me and my friend just got Black Ops for PC and we wanna play zombies with each other, but when we try to join each others private matches, we get sent to a random public lobby. Is there a fix for this?

I'm also getting this. I can join certain friends but not others.

Probably because of region lock.

Yes, actually. My friends NAT type is Open. Basically what that means is that no specific ports are being blocked by a firewall. My NAT type was Strict, meaning some ports are being blocked by a firewall. Some routers allow you to open up specific ports within the admin control panel of the router (you can access this by opening CMD and typing "ipconfig". Look for the "Default Gateway" IP address and put that IP into the search bar of Google Chrome, or whatever browser you have). I unfortunately can't do that so what I had to do was to connect to our WiFi which is not protected by a firewall. My NAT Type turned to Moderate (which is compatible with Open) and I could then join my friends lobby.

TL;DR: If you have a Strict NAT type, you can only join others with Strict NAT Type. If your NAT type is Open or Moderate, you can join others with Open or Moderate NAT type.
Open + Open works
Moderate + Open works
Moderate + Moderate works
Strict + Strict works
Strict + Open/Moderate does NOT work.

Yeah i can't open my wifi either, my dad forgot the password. I had a vpn that worked for a while but it stops working every once in a while so i was looking for a better fix. I can't be sure but it seems to only happen with world at war and black ops 1 but i could be wrong.

Your NAT is probably strict heres a fix: https://youtu.be/p9sH8bckonk
Your friend should be able to join if you have a Moderate Or Open NAT.

Guys its very easy accually like 90% of these blops 1 problem is the version of the game if you brought the game like 4-5 years ago you cant play with someone with the newer version so the solution is you have to make a new account (or have an account with the new version) so with the new account you will buy the game on the same pc with the same lokal files and if you press install you will get a small update which upgrades your game in the newer version ! and after that you can just give back the new version you brought on steam and go back to the old account and Enjoy playing with your friends finally ! THIS ONLY WORKS FOR PC

The only thing working for us, is
- you connect to Modern Warfare (warzone 1)
- your friend send u a party request on Coldwar zombies,
- then u accept when u are online on modernwarfare 1
>>> warzone will close after 5s and coldwar will launch and join ur friend.

Hope it can help u
