Black ops 1 freezing pls help!

So recently I have been wanting to play black ops 1 with my friend and whenever I try to select private match the game freezes and I have to force close with task manager. I have tried to join him but upon accepting his game invite my game freezes and have to force close, it even freezes while trying to play solo. I have updated my graphics card, re-installed the game, verified integrity of game files, you name it, I've done it but still yet, nothing seems to work and the game is still freezing. You guys got any ideas on what it could be?(also I know it isn't my computer because before this started I was playing black ops just fine, max settings, etc.)

My game always freezing after the startup and after 30 seconds or so, it just works fine.
I guess the reason why is my anti-virus software.
Maybe disable yours and check what happens.

My game only freezes when I try to play zombies specifically, even while trying to play solo. it freezes and if I wait long enough (usually 5 or 6 minutes) it replays the opening cutscene that plays when you first launch black ops and it goes back to the main menu.

Mhm, interesting!
So you can't even connect to the 3arc servers.

Are your network drivers installed correctly?
Could you name your mainboard to check?

I fixed this by moving to another drive on my computer. I was able to play one day and then the next I wasn't so that fixed it so far.
