Campaign progress not saving
So i've decided to try and 100 percent bo1 recently and whilst i'm working i'm doing the veteran mission achievements between days.

The first day I got to the end of vorkuta where you jump to the train and called it a night. Then i continued and got all the way to where you fight in vietnam, in the trenches, not terribly far but annoying on veteran cos its frustrating as hell.

So I go to resume today and my progress is back to vorkuta, but yet in my file directory it says I have mission saves up to khe san, which is the aformentioned mission.

I don't want to replay up to khe san from vorkuta cos its annoying as hell, and just want top play the later levels cos its been years since i have, any help how to fix this campaign progress issue?

Try this:
1- go to Campaign if u dont see resume game just go back again to main menu

2- choose Zombies . u will see( Error ) leave it and press Back just wait till the movie end ..

3- go again to Campaign and u will see Resume Game ;)

yeah i gave that a bash before but it didnt work haha, was the only advice i could find and it didnt work :D
Maybe I know what the issue is.
Is it possible that you have edited your config.cfg and set to write protected?

Anyway, go to:
Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Black Ops\players\save
And check if there are .svg-files in it.
Cause these are your save files.
If so, go to your config.cfg in your players folder and check line 499 and 500.
It should look like this:
seta sv_lastSaveCommitedToDevice "save\cuba-2.svg"
seta sv_lastSaveGame "save\cuba-2.svg"
Edit "save\cuba-2.svg" on both lines to the save file you want to load.
Save the config.cfg and start the game! :)

omg yes thankyou :D I remember a few weeks ago I was seeing if there was any way to do the Shangri La achievement on my own, and one way said to change the config file to bind f1 to "devscript_1" or whatever the command was and to make the file read only.

The lines you mentioned above had the last mission set to Vorkuta, which is when I mush have changed the file contents. Thank you for the help, I really really appreciate it :D

My command lines 499 and 500 don't have this, can you suggest why?

It is possible that it's just in a different line.
Depends on your config file.
Just search for "seta sv_lastSaveCommitedToDevice" and "seta sv_lastSaveGame".

You're welcome! ^^

What kind of idiot sets the file extension for game saves identical to the popular Scaled Vector Graphic? SGF would make a lot more sense (Heaven forbid they should make it SAV!). Using established file extensions already used by other applications for very different purposes is a very bad idea. Back in the early eighties of the last century, it couldn't be avoided, but computing devices have come a long way since then. There is no technical excuse whatsoever for using inappropriate file extensions; it's sheer laziness, and laziness is a bad look on a coder.

I guess you haven't started the campaign yet, right? There should be one created, when you launch the first mission and reach a checkpoint. If the game hasn't created one four you, then I would suggest to create the folders on your own.
