Moon Easter egg co-op not working???

Hey guys, been searching google and youtube for days and can't seem to find a solution to our problem here. So we're trying to do the moon easter egg completely until big bang theory. It is 2 of us and we both have the achievements for shangri la (time travel will tell) and call of the dead (stand in/ esemble cast) We have been able to get cryogenic slumber party easy but when it comes to inserting the rod between the plates at the computer in spawn it doesnt work. We also have the pipe inserted but are still unable to insert it. Has anyone else experienced this issue? im thinking maybe just a PC bug but im not sure. Any help would be appreciated!

I thought the moon easter-egg is only obtainable with four players and the golden rod only can be placed by the player who plays Richtofen in that game.

Well, I have been having problems trying the call of the dead Easter egg but every time I stab the door they don't speak and I can't start the Easter egg, so I Uninstalled the game and downloaded it 2 times but it still doesnt work. Please help me.

well, if at least 1 player in the lobby has both "ensemble cast" and "time travel will tell" achievements earned, then the vril device will appear on the HUD of richtofen. vril device is combination of focusing stone fom shangri-la and golden rod from call of the dead. complete easter egg is still doable with 2 players, if one player is richtofen.

now that you have added the wire to computer and also brought the plates from area 51 by using gersh and QED, respectively; the only thing coming to my mind is; you started the game as 3- or 4-players (1 or 2 other players in the game, in addition to you and your friend); one of the other guys was richtofen and left the game for some reason and you had no chance to add vril device to process it between plates. only richtofen can put vril device between plates and process it, by spamming f while looking at computer.

I did this easter egg like more than 50 times, and haven't experienced any glitches yet. call of the dead easter egg may glitch if the order is confused, especially during foghorn and morse radio steps, but moon easter egg doesn't have any known glitch.

we ended up just doin it on black ops 3 zombie chronicles. fun classic easter egg. for the guy trying call of the dead i cant think of anything but maybe the power isnt on when u try knifing the door?? cause im pretty sure the first step is to knife the door then find that power fuse, also try clicking solo instead of private game

What Lewosch said is right , the player with richtofen need to have done call of the dead and shangri-la EE for the golden rod to work

not exactly. easter egg still possible if richtofen doesn't have any of the said easter egg achievements but any other player has. the issue is the vril device appears only on HUD of richtofen and if he leaves, the second half of easter egg cannot be complete. at least 1 player in the lobby with CotD and shangri-la ee is enough (that player doesnt have to be richtofen). as a principle; when playing with randoms for an easter egg game, just make sure richtofen is the player who's least likely to quit the game.

The golden rod needs to be used with the guy who picked up the stone on shang so theres a red jewel in the middle

Never got it, I think it was because we didnt do shangri la easter egg. ended up getting B03 and doing the easter egg there for my nostalgia fix

I just got it done, I did shangri-la easter egg solo the first time using the developer mode so I think it wasn't counting or something, we did the shangri-la with four people and it was registering as done then. You know if it counts as done because the middle of the rod will be red on moon to indicate you've done it. Thanks for the reply anyway

Man i did by this way too and it's not counting for me aswell, sad af rn
