Call of Duty Black Ops (2010) graphics glitch (black characters)

Hi guys.

I found a solution to this.

I know a lot of you have complained about the graphical glitch in Call of Duty Black Ops, where in dark places, the characters are black if you shine on them with your flashlight - especially in the rat tunnels and aboard the ship with the Nova 6 virus.

I confirm that there is a problem with the Steam update to Call of Duty Black Ops. What I did was to download an offline version of Call of Duty Black Ops. Download a version from the internet (I got mine from The Pirate Bay). There are other ways of getting an offline version besides torrenting. It's the standard version of Call of Duty Black Ops without any updates, and the graphics are fine. I shine my flashlight on Swift in the rat tunnels and he's all lit up. Fantastic!

Or the developers can come by and fix it themselve, they have enough money, hell before all the updates it was fine.

Hi Judge Dredd, yes it was the updates. Damn, what a mess. Anyways, I see Steam has censored my link, so just between you and me, it's The Pirate Bay. Illegal, I know, but what can you do? The version I got from them is fantastic - no bugs, no glitches!

Dude, you can just fix the game easily with some file tweaks. No need to download a pirated version.
