How to report hackers in COD MW3
Please visit my group page for details on how to effectively report hackers. I recently made the group public, so if you are serious about joining the fight against the hacking problem, join my group! http://steamcommunity.com/groups/valkyries-anti-cheat

I don't have a magic wand, guys, but I do use several methods to report that have worked and continue to work. There are 4 factors critical to successful reporting:
1. Commit to reporting hackers when you see them.
2. Be thorough and ACCURATE in your reports!
3. Use multiple methods for the same report.
4. Encourage your friends to report hackers!

The more quality reports on a hacker, the more likely the hacker will be stopped. Don't let anyone try to fool you that reporting does not good. Those saying that are often hackers themselves!

Cheers,

The guy you have in your youtube video "Identiying Cheaters 101: Aimbot" is still playing. I am sure they have been report many many times. In their profile they even taunt VAC. They also have "bans on record".

it's all a load of c.r.a.p, they do a bit to shut us up and they are back into it the next day.

@FBlue: It's ok if he's "still playing." What matters is if he is still cheating. If he is, his next ban will be permenant.

Not only are they still cheating but they are also setting up different types of BAD hacked lobbies. This is the reason I remember this player. I don't remember all the others really. Every now and then I check to set if steam has done anything about this person or a few others. So far they have not. In one case there was a guy cheating he also had a totally inappropriate steam profile name and photo. All steam had to do is go and look at the page. Still nothing there. But I well continue to report on what I think is the worse of the worse of the cheaters.

You have the right attitude. I'm impressed that you keep track of those you report. Keep up the good work!

why doesn`t Steam or VAC develop a program that can recognize cheats, then lock out the player until no cheats are dected.

you said and I quote "on how to effectively report hackers" there is no method available ,they want you to think there is ,but I doubt if anyone from activision or steam even bother to read comments made in the forums, apart from the so called moderators who most think they are god most of the time ,and all they can do is copy and paste links ....

Don't listen to who? Me? My group has been around a while and our members have done more than most to help in the fight against hackers.

If you are serious about hunting down and reporting hackers as we are, than you would welcome anyone else doing the same. We would be on the same side. If you are not, than I conclude that you are likely one of those we are fighting against; that is, a promoter of hackers, if not a hacker yourself.

If there are other serious anti-hacker groups out there, than we need to come together! Trying to out-do each other or competing against each other will only serve the hackers.

Unless the software vendors want to do something about the problem, all else is a waste of time. DON'T BUY NEW MAP PACKS until they fix the blantent hacking. Groups mean NOTHING. MONEY means everything to them. CRC Checks and plenty of other methods would work on P2P, but they CHOOSE not to fix this problem. Why? Cause Hacks buy the software too, then patch it. I really hate hackers. I have to assume that they are mostly CHILDREN whose PARENTS let them cheat, and think it is cute. Sad World. I don't even understand how cheating could be fun??? NO MORE MONEY FROM ME ACTIVISION. FIX THIS!!!

Personally I find Modern Admin to be less finicky and use it first and foremost. I wish both kick/ban systems would get together and merge their lists of hackers, maybe work together on the projects. I've found that if one doesn't work, the other will.

Record your games and if you identify a cheater upload from theater to your online vault and when reporting the cheater put in your report that you have the game with the suspected cheater in your online vault. Make sure to leave your gamertag and what map you where playing.
