"Unable to connect host" error. (I'm tried everything)

Hi,

We playing online MW3 in my office with my colleagues. We are 6 PC in same network. We're playing for a long time without problems. But the last few months, when we want to join each other's private network, getting an this error. Except, we can only join into a one user. We can not get any private lobby else except him.

So, same network, same router. Same notebook model. :)

What else could be the problem?

The fact you all have the same IP is likely the issue.

But it was always. Not new. And nothing happens when we try VPN connection. i mean when ip changes.

Of course I tried. This benefits to local ip renewal.

Is it even possible for 2+ people on the same connection to play online?

yes we could connect to private lobby or online on the same network connection.

Me and my son play from the same local network with no problems although one of us is always "strict"

I got three PC for LAN Parties at my place, all in the same network, all on NAT-Type open.
Usually no problems at all with MW3, but at irregular intervals I have to reset my router (Fritz box), because one or both of my other PCs get NAT Type strict for some reason. The Router setup got no changes at all and the only thing that worked for me was to turn the Router off - then wait for 3Min and turn it on again... that only happens with MW2 and MW3!
I never had this issue with games like Borderlands1 and 2, CoD MW1, No one lives forever, DukeNukem etc.

I am sure you checked already, but are you sure that...
- no one got VAC Banned?
- no changes to the config_mp.cfg on each PC?
- Port forward was done (Steam & CoD: MW3)?
- If not, the one with NAT-Type open shall become the Lobby Host...


Keep in mind:
If everything worked fine
and overnight it does not work anymore
there must have changed something!

Find the change - then you got the error ;)

I was under the impression that port forwarding was for one computer behind your router? If you do port forwarding for one machine how will the other machines use those same ports?
