[Crap Shot]

The server appears to have crashed and all ranks have reset back to 1 with the accumulated weapons, battle p[asses etc not available for all players

For example I was up to rank 238 and am now 1

Please reset the system ASAP

it's not the system, it's an issue with the game being old and new vulnerabilities to the game called Remote Code Execution or RCE via the EXE or executable of the game's file that starts the game and runs in memory with hackers going around making GUI or Graphical User Interfaces for script kiddies, or little ♥♥♥♥ losers online, to download and ruin the game for everyone.

The fact that it's happening in 2024 and why the company Activision sold the game to Mircosoft and that it's never been patched or fixed yet, shows that Activision doesn't want it around anymore or associated with them.

So they are are inclined to kill the game because they can't just take it off the shelves so you're seeing the game being killed.

besides, you'd think all these script kiddies would be banned too, they're not. and unfortunately there are a lot of them

Furthermore, those that are slightly more adept than your average script kiddie like newfie, they can use the vulnerability of this game to access your entire system and make changes and manipulate it as if they were sitting right in your seat.

that is the most dangerous part of playing this game at all.

the chances that you'll be targeted, unlike me, becuase, well, my KDR is 4.5 and these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ don't like that i win all the time and think i cheat when i don't so they hacked into my computer and found nothing so instead they opened browser pages full of gay porn.

i guess they really like gay porn.

anyway

if you want to be as safe as possible to play games as old as this that will never be patched, you need to have the latest windows with the latest updates as well as the newer processors and motherboards that prevent these vulnerabilities from being needed to be patched in the first place. Look into things like TPM or Trusted Platform Module for motherboards, or Intel's infamous CVE, Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures, in the actual processors themselves that span from their 6th to 11th, generation CPUs.

Without these upgrades, you'll need very specific settings for your system to run safely to protect yourself from an attack if you're ever targeted.

I think I'll just make this a post of my own already. It will probably get taken down, however. Nobody likes a snitch ;)

rank 238 in legacy MW3? Battlepass? I'm pretty sure you're referring to MWIII (2023) there was a server issue, but it already got fixed and everything should be back to normal now.
