Does MW3 still have VAC?
I’ve been seeing lots of cheaters recently, is Vac still a thing on this game?

I have a VAC-ban for MW3. However, this does not appear on my steam profile anymore since VAC-bans older then 7 year dissappear (they are still active, though). And I can confirm VAC-banned players can still not enter MW3 multiplayer. The people claiming that banned players can join MP are probably referring to MW2 multiplayer. There was a time, 2-3 years ago, that VAC-banned players could play multiplayer again. I dont know if this is already patched or not.

However, the real question is: will new cheaters get banned? Tbh, I think the answer is no.
Like a month ago I saw someone cheating in BO2 zombies, which is also VAC protectect. I just checked-up his profile and he is still not VAC-banned! The average ban is after a week! It is probably not worth it to keep VAC up-to-date with old games or Valve is too greedy to invest in some good up-to-date anti-cheat software.

Hence the reason Activion relocated their legacy to battle.net. A platform with a top priority in anti-cheating.

sad but true .... they know they can cheat and get away with it......
I have a request for the CoD MW3 and BO2 or whatever old CoD u like and still play..... when you see Cheater please report their Steam Profile. They might now get banned, please report them anyway. I report any cheater in any Game no matter how old it is.

They cannot play the game for which they've received a VAC Ban, so if they have one for MW3 then they cannot play it.
That doesn't stop them playing other games they don't have a VAC Ban for.

That's how VAC has always worked though. It's only for the specific game that cheats were detected by VAC, not a blanket ban to all games using Steamworks/VAC.

VAC is garbage on COD Games. Once a COD game turns older than 4 years it just gets filled with cheaters.

The games are not filled with cheaters, after 4 years. It's the low playerbase and you tend to meet cheaters very often. If they get vac-banned in this game, they have to use VAC bypass to be able to play MW3 and same for other games they got vac-banned in.

For MW2 and 3; if you have the dlc's, you hardly meet cheaters and almost none modded lobbies. If they are modded, you get into Dom instead of TDM. Not those that derank or uprank you. Cheters buy the base game and NOT the dlc's. And the matcmaking works, without delay. Thats my experience in Europe.
