Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 3 (2011) - Multiplayer

Multiplayer ERROR iw5mp.exe has stopped working
Hello fellow gamers ;( recently I have purchased Call of Duty BO:2, BO, Ghost, and MW3 on G 2A.com

Here are my laptop stats before we discuss:
Windows Version: Windows 10 Home (however on properties of the games i set compatibility to Windows 7)
OS: 64-bit
Processor: Intel Pentium CPU B960 @ 2.20GHz
RAM: 4GB
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7600M Series
Internet speed: Download speed goes up to 11MB/s on Steam, uploading speed according to speedtest.net, goes up to 90MB/s

*Please ask me any other information that you may require*

For BO:1 Singleplayer and Multiplayer
It says it couldn't write a file. The hard drive is probably full.
But I have got over 150+GB empty...?

For BO:2 Singleplayer says Failed to Start Game (Unknown Error) whereas for Multiplayer and Zombie says Missing Executable. However before reinstalling this game, for all of them said Unknown Error.

For Ghost Singleplayer works fine other than my RAM is little below the Minimum requirement by 2GB
But again for Multiplayer it says Unknown Error.

For MW:3 Singplayer works fine and Multiplayer loads fine until the menu screen BUT
Once I find a match online, it suddenly crashes and says "iw5mp.exe has stopped working"...

Here are few questions:
- Are files from G 2A.com purchases the same as the one on Steam?
- Could it be caused by my low RAM? (It lacks 2GB than minimum requirement)
- Or could it be caused by my Processor? (Dunno if Intel Processor is lower than i3 or not...)

What I've tried:
-Verfying game cache
-Reinstalling steam
-Reinstalling games
-Deleting appcache
-Running Steam as admin
-Setting compatibility to Windows 7 and ticked always run as administrator
-Flushing steam (with the code thingy)

And none of above worked T.T

I really really want to play Multiplayer matches with all these games but it's a pity I wasted quite a lot of money on stuff that didn't really work out. Please help me out T.T

I really really appreciate any of the support fellow Steam-ers could provide.

your ram is fairly low. i have 16 gb myself and runs at, at least 25% of that at all times while playing mw3 mp and can go beyond 30% ram usage.
it is or was the same for bo2 and ghosts.
I'm not real sure about your gpu
i used to be able to run bo1 sp and mp on a laptop with radeon 5730 , i7 cpu and 4 gb of ram without to many issues.
i looked up about your cpu and it does not appear to support 64bit os or applications and other technologies that games seem to rely on.

i'm not a guru or boffin when it comes to computers but if you are serious about wanting to play the latest games be it cod or others, i would seriously consider buying a new system but i hope someone else has a better solution for you than i have.

No, purchasing a key from key sellers won't give you different files of the games.
Talking about your problem, your pc is ALRIGHT for those games, not the best thing ever but it should be okay. BO1, MW3 and BO2 are fairly old games, i used to run MW3 back then when i had only 2GB's of Ram and an AMD Sempron 2600+ as CPU...
Sure, your PC only has 4GB but for those games they're good enough. I myself have only 4GB and i can play BO3 too without any issues soo, not a ram problem.
Actually, BO1, MW3 and BO2 should run pretty good on your PC, i don't know why you're getting those errors to be honest.
Also talking about those, these are STEAM errors, not really related to the games.
Honestly, are you able to switch back to Windows 7?
Windows 10 is pretty much crap and it gives a ♥♥♥♥ ton of errors with older stuff

also check that your firewall isn't blocking the applications.

According to my laptop, it says my System type is 64 bit operating system.

Also when i goto my PC, harddisk c drive, I have the folder Program files (x86) which I believe is key thing of a 64 bit operating system?

P.S. Agreed on getting a new one... but dunno if I can

Ahh mate is it just Steam or windows? -.- never quite get them... How could Windows 10 possibly be affecting it?

It is quite interesting. Some people claim, that Windows wants to ruin steam in a few years. Windows 10 updates are meant to have issues with steam ( or at least so the rumor goes ). Most ppl downgrade to Windows 7 x)

What error shows up in your Win10 EventViewer (check Application - look for iw5mp.exe)?
Event Viewer is a tool that shows detailed information about significant events on your computer. Event Viewer can be helpful when troubleshooting problems in Windows. To open Event Viewer type Event Viewer in the search box and click View event logs.

Code 1000... What to do? Perhaps I'll reinstall my Graphics driver?
Richard Jul 29, 2016 @ 12:19am
My driver is already up to date tho... perhaps I shall rollback to previous versions?
Have you made any changes to the computer prior to this issue (Graphics update)?
But you can give it a try and roll back to the previous version.

Thats what a quick search found from the MS support (Win7 but should work with win10 too, I guess):

Good luck.
