Modern Warfare 3 doesn't work anymore, exe files getting corrupted again and again

Hi all. Yestarday I have just bought the 3 DLC to modern warfare 3, to have some new map to play. I downloaded the DLC and started the game, and it didn't show me the new special ops. I exit and verify game cash, then start again. I have to do this 3-4 times, but finally I get all the new 8 special ops- Good.
I have left the pc on this night, and this morging, after waking up, I say myself: let's play MW3!
I try to start and...nothing happens. I get the loading screen of MW3, but then when it should go full screen...nothing happens. I make verify game cache again, and it downloads again a file of 5.4 MB. I try start again the game: no luck. I try again and again this and it always downloads a 5.4MB file. Then I went to the game folder and I saw that it's the IW5SP.exe file, the main .exe. The same holds if I try to start multiplayer (IW5MP.exe file downloaded again and again.
I tried everything, downloading SP, downloading MP, downloading both, downloading and rebooting...no luck, still unable to play. And support seems quite slow, it will take a week to ansker, I opened a ticket for another reason 4 days ago and still no answer...:(

SOLVED BY DELETING ZONE FOLDER AND RE-DOWNLOADING 6gb! tHAT'S NOT A GOOD SOLUTION!!!!

i have the same issue. all game files downloaded and it only says its a 5mb game. varify game cache only varifies the 5mb file.... so i cant even redownload it to fix the issue. steam needs to fix this cause im sure its not on my end.

It's almost 2025 and activision has decided to release another game called "Modern warfare 3" so googling is useless and now there is no way to launch this game over steam. :)
