Do you need the MW3 Campaign installed to play multiplayer?

My girlfriend doesn't want to wait 4 hours to play multiplayer with me, so she was wondering if she could just skip downloading the single player, and just download the multiplayer. Does anyone know if she can? Or do you need the single player to play multiplayer?

You can't with MW2. Not sure about MW3, they are very similar so you may end up having to download both.

Download Multiplayer first, then if that doesn't work then you'll just have to get Single player.

That's what I was worried about since MW2 required it. But turns out for MW3, you don't need it. Thanks for the help anyways!
