Graphics: Simple fix on how to make your MW 3 look better

Alright, so here's the deal. Remember how the first thing you did when you installed this game and launched it was to go into the options menu and check whether everything was maxed out?

Well, there's a small kink: you probably set the IMAGE QUALITY to "Extra" (just like all the other texture settings), didn't you?

That's the reason why your MW 3's graphics look blurry and crap. To make them look much more crisp and better (the way it was MEANT to be), go to options and set the IMAGE QUALITY to NATIVE.

That's all. Enjoy MW 3 for its true graphical quality (well, as much as you can crank up a 4 year old engine).

Notice how everything looks crisper? The player's hand model textures, the pistol, the chain of lights, the trees, the debris, everything is less blurry.

As you can see in this second example, the magazines in the magazine stand are more crisp and less blurry. Same goes for the building's facade and the police barricade in the background.

Here there is not that much of a difference, but you can see the improvement on the car's headlights.


This concludes our litte graphics comparison. I hope that now there is no longer any doubt over the misleading "extra" image quality vs the native image quality debate.

I used to enjoy playing it, but after it got crashed I re-installed it. But the screensettings were bad. Should I start it in safe mode. Will it help??

thanks, i was playing on extra the whole time and it was blurry as hell, switching to native made it look real sharp and clean

Any graphic setting I change and attempt to save makes the game freeze up. I have to use the windows key because nothing else works. I then have to restart my PC.

Go to Options -> Video -> Advanced video; It should be somewhere at the bottom, above the texture quality and stuff
