Can't run MW3 on Mac

I purchased MW3 through steam, have been playing it for a while on windows (which is installed on a macbook pro).
On Mac OS (same macbook), in store page (steam app) I click on "Play now" button but there is a pop-up error "... is not available on your current platform". The same outcome when I right-click and choose "install game". And yea, it doesn't appear on Mac library as well.
Open for any suggestions! Thanks a lot!

Apearrently Activision support team has very vague understanding of what's going on with MW3 on steam, this AJ guy just reply me that MW3 is not "compatible" with Mac OS. Maybe he doesnt even know (or care) his company has launched the game on Steam - Mac OS. Here's the full text:

"Hello,

MW3 is not compatible with Mac OS. Although you have it installed on a separate partition of your harddrive on the Window OS, you won't be able to run the game using Mac OS.

WTF is that? does it mean the information u presented on the storefront is not accurate?

i run MW3 on a macbookpro and it works fine.
config:
intel Core i7 2.3GHz
16GB ram 1600 MHz DDR3
OSX 10.9.5

what is yours on which mw3 doesn't work? it might be acompatibility issue with older mac models
