Is multiplayer alive?

Hi i want to ask if mutiplayer is alive because i want to buy it just for multiplayer.

Yes its alive. Over 2k players in evenings and weekends. Down a little in summertime.

Multiplayer is very much alive a fI'm ton of hackers and salty children but its cod what do you expect if I were you I would suggest mw2 and mw3 both amazing with good player base steam charts is wrong about the player base

Steam chart is not wrong. You have to read it as it is; The data is delayed for about 1 hour. The numbers are average for this time settting, just like it shows week and 30 days average.
If yoy see in this forum and click All (to left of discussions) you see how many playing mw2 campaign on steam. That is also delayed numbers, but i dont know for how long. They are faster updated then the chart. Same as if you go to mw3-mp forum and check those numbers, compared to steam chart.

Hackers really just depends on luck I have actual shot luck and always get hackers, don't get me wrong tho the hackers in this game aren't cancerous and will really only change the map or make it a ctf game mode I have only come across one spin hotter and haven't seen him since also if you wanna change your name to colored info you can as my name is blue and red.Its pretty cool to see people think you are a hacker.
