They're the items that BUD is playing with on the main menu, they fall down to the planet when MOM crashes. There's an achievement for finding the P letter block

I was just expecting a bigger easter egg, that's all. "Why would they put these here? There must be a reason! Hmm, since the main menu showed these in the ship, I need to get them on the ship!"

Well, atleast the game exceeded my expectations on every other level. :P Can't wait for Grow Old!
