Singularity

Singularity

This or Timeshift?
Both look cool and have similarities.

It looks like SIngularity has better body-damage modeling (ie bullet impacts/wounds) than Timeshift.

But Timeshift has the ability to rewind time, which is awesome.

Both look great, and i'll buy one of these with JC3. Which should I get?

I played a bit of Timeshift, and I thought it felt a bit... Clunky? At least compared to Singlarity. I'd say get Singularity since this game very rarely goes on sale and it's not really worth $30 anymore.

Get both if you can. I can't recommend TimeShift enough. Awesome and hugely underrated game.

Singularity is better imo.Btw Timeshift has a serious problem to run on Win 8.1 at least in my case.

I have played 3 times Timeshift and 2 times Singularity.
Both have action, time effects are really strong in Timeshift where you can alter time it self. You can kill a guy, rewind time and kill him again!
Singularity doesn't have these time skills, only to revert or rewind enemies, where Timeshift has the time effect to rewind time of enemies and objects.

They're both fantastic games in my opinion. Although if you want something more "modern" with elements of Bioshock 1 and 2 then Singularity is your best bet. TimeShift on the other hand is more similar to games like Half Life and Halo with time powers.

If you can then get both. Just know that TimeShift cannot run if you have hyperthreading enabled so be sure to turn that off if you're going to play it.

this post was literally from over a year ago . op already made his decision and bought singularity a long time ago

If you are deciding which game to get, look at the comments in this thread and many other online sites.
If you are gona tell op which game is the best, then don't, op already made his decision.

The post is dead. Bury it.

Timeshift is very dull/grey looking, there isnt much personality there and the rewind time isnt as good as it sounds or looks like in the cgi trailer. It isn't a bad game though, definitely get it on a sale. Singularity is an awesome game but I wouldnt associate it directly with having cool time powers, for me I enjoyed the story and the visuals, very creepy in parts.

For time powers I wouldnt even recommend Singulairty or Timeshift, I would recommend Dishonoured. You dont get your time powers straight out of the gate like you do with Timeshift but when you get them it feels so much better than both of these games becuse you will mostly use melee and crossbow attacks which look awesome when you slow or stop time.

After you complete the main game in Dishonoured there are DLC missions/challenges that use the time powers specifically to a great effect. You also get replayable challenges that are more open world and let you do whatever you like, the biggest problem I have with Timeshift and Singularity is the lack of replay value.

Only buy singularity if its on sale. The game is not great, weapons have no range, enemies are basic bullet sponges with bad hit boxes that only work up close. the other stuff here is derivitive of other games especially Bioshock. Tape recorders and projectors are literally copy paste from Bioshock with some slightly different art used. Story is interesting though but only worth it when <$10.00. Ofcourse Bioshock and Fallout use similar art styles during those ability cutscenes.

Really enjoyed my second playthough of Singularity. Have retail of Timeshift. Finished it only once a very long time ago. I remember that it gave me a Half-Life 2 vibe. Now I want to play it again.
