Bulletstorm is something different, not really like this game but if you're looking for something a bit different and if you haven't played Bulletstorm it's pretty great. it's very short though

Wolfenstein 2009 had a similar feel to Singularity in my opinion. Hard game to come by though, i had to get a PC copy off ebay to play it. It kinda got written off when Bethesda and Machinegames started the newer series, which are also awesome.

And i agree with corrupted-file, Bulletstorm is a good time, very fun game and the characters are great.

Along the same lines, you can also give TimeShift a go, gameplay itself is fun; it has the time control mechanics and the puzzles, not just run and gun.

1. Resident Evil Revelations 2 has a similar atmosphere, but is 3rd person.
2, Rage (2011) from id software was also a cool and underrated shooter
3. Hard Reset
4. The Chronicles of Riddick: Asault on Dark Athena: Almost forgotten game by now, but really good.
5. The Evil Within 1 & 2
