Singularity

Singularity

Sequel?
One of the BEST games, up there with stalker ect.

I've played and beaten it multiple times on different platforms.

Anyone know if there will ever be a sequel? I don't understand how this game still gets slept on, meanwhile generic games in 2021 get praised.

Man I just don't get it, how a game with such a solid story/mechanics could fail. I'd trade cyberpunk for a sequel any day.

This game is definitely underrated. Unfortunately it didn't do to well given the fact that 2010 saw a lot of great titles released. People kind of never noticed "Singularity" simply because the advertising just wasn't there.
Think about all the Big name titles that were released around the same time, Bioshock 2, Darksiders, God of war 3, Starcraft 2 (which already had a massive following). mario galaxy... the list goes on. I think that a lot of the people, myself included, saw a couple reviews and trailers for it and thought to themselves "bioshock ripoff"... how wrong I was. After playing it, I became a fan because this game was amazing. It was a whole other level of story telling.

The real reason it did not become a big hit, is because Activision had already spent its promotion money too long before the game release, for hype. Then when released, there was little promotion/visibility. This is from a postmortem article by the dev.

Activision has many great studios like Beenox, Raven, Radical(Closed). Now they are just forced to work for annual COD releases.

I know Im late but it's because generic NPCs like generic trash made specifically for generic NPCs... there are far more NPCs than normal players thats why trash games get made... easy and cheap while charging arm and leg and genetic NPCs keep buying....

also I bet none of you know of this gem that was released back in 2003 named kill.switch (no not a metal group)...
game by namco hometek... that was a cool game, they were the first to actually do a cover based shooting that we see in many vidya games today... that game never saw a sequel....

I still remember the game's intro cgi cutscene. Reminded me a bit of Universal Soldier. The game's main theme is also a banger.
