They deleted the comments he made I see.
The mods also deleted my smiley reply in another forum, to a nice person that I knew in there that was supportive. That's really odd that the mods would delete my comment in there that was showing that I cared without the need for words, in that other thread.
I didn't get a chance to read that other guy's comments from in here, as they were deleted before I could see his last comment.
Have you deleted specific folders in steam, as well as the game folder manually before reinstalling it?
Check your windows firewall in the program's acception list.
Also check your router to make sure that when the game first launches, that it is getting access through your one pc or network, the game absolutely wants to know before launching with steam.
Try enable/disable the steam cloud under the game's properties, located in the steam game's library under your game, by right clicking and going to properties, to completely disable the steam cloud for all games, find that at the top of steam and go to the steam options.
When re-installing the game, absolutely make sure there are no files or folders of the game left behind.
It might be a problem with steam itself, files in the steam folder, the only problem is, uninstalling steam while trying to reinstall it, also deletes your games.
Try to find the steam cache folder and delete it, search through the steam folder for other folders and files that shouldn't be there, as well as in the uncommon folder, extras that were meant to be with that specific game, number folders, find out which one is for the game, and delete it, and also you could try uninstalling the game and reinstalling.
If you did want to try uninstalling and then reinstalling, try these steps. -
Uninstall the game, delete any of the game's folder left behind, as well as custom number folders that are located somewhere in the steam folder, for the game, then reinstall transformers: war for cybertron after that, the same thing goes with any other game if you need it fixed.
Don't forget to set your nvidia control panel to "let the 3d application decide", if you have a geforce video card, and for radeon video cards, you will need to find something similar in the radeon's "catalyst control panel". These solutoins are under the guide though, if you read everything, and there are alot more solutions.
Check your physx, make sure it is the latest version, and go to the control panel under add and remove programs, and find out if you have 2 physx programs installed, delete the oldest one, and try reinstalling the latest version, or try installing the older version.. although that won't be compatible with the latest graphics drivers, but that is what you will have to do with old video cards, so expect problems if you have to install the older physx with new video card drivers, but if your video card isn't more than a couple years old, then install the latest physx and video drivers.
Find out if you have all the visual c++ redist downloads, and both versions of the visual c++ 2005 as well, the redist x86 and x64 versions, which means one is for 32 bit, and the other is for 64 bit versions of windows, but you need both for windows with 64 bit, for it to understand both 64 bit and 32 bit games and applications that use the older versions of visual c++ redist.
Those with windows 32 bit only, just need the x86 versions.
You will need both the x86 and x64 versions of all the visual c++ redist downloads in windows 64 bit, shown in the guide.
Also try using the game without the router, plug the modem directly into the pc, and don't forget to disable your antivirus auto protect, as well as any security software, before starting the game, just to be sure, and enable them after you exit the game.
Don't forget to check your quarantine for viruses, maleware, spyware and other things to delete first in your antivirus programs.. before disabling auto protect just to fix compatibility with games.
What version of windows do you have?
List your stats here by going to the top of steam, click system information, drag your mouse acrossed the info and down, right click on the outlined text, click copy, and then click paste in a new comment here, list all the info.
What exactly shows up when the game is launching?
Also is it a custom built pc?
If you can, take a screenshot and send it to your steam screenshot library, with a link to the picture here.
List all your info here by going to the top of steam under help - system information, and list the info in a new comment.
EDIT
I launched game exe from folder.
I downloaded this:
http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/NVIDIA-PhysX-Download-104790.html
Now works.
I mentioned the physx versions to download in a comment above.
Make sure you trust the source before downloading, as physx belongs to nvidia.com, not softpedia.com
That could be the original physx, which should be in the game's folder anyhow, if it's not the original, and it is newer, then the latest version needs to be downloaded from nvidia.com
Do not download from other sources, that's just asking for a virus.
I recommend nvidia.com for the latest version.
As you don't know also if softpedia didn't modify physx, in the code of the program, and that can be a malicious situation if installed, but you should be going to nvidia.com for the latest version anyways, as nvidia owns physx and updates the versions.
Other than that, if it works, then alright, but if it's the same as the version that is supposed to be in the game's folder, or newer, then that link shouldn't be used. As there is no need for it.
It should be from an official source anyways, and there are other versions on the nvidia.com website for physx, it is the wisest choice to be safe from the official source. Nvidia is a well known company, that has been around forever, as they created video cards for gaming since I was little, for over 20 years or more, they make the world's most powerful graphics cards known as the geforce of today.
And that's just it, SofPedia is a known european site, one that not everyone uses but maybe a few times, as I've come acrossed it and avoid it for reasons that I find malware on their downloads, that my antivirus blocks, and it's only from that site.
I hope it was helpful for alot of you! =)
