thanks don't want it then, No point if i can't roam NY destroying stuff
NY? It's set on Cybertron! Anyway, you can destroy Iacon with Megatron.
NY = New york, If theres no free roam like the old games, What's the point? u can't smash stuff and make dreams of u destroying a city with ur favorite transformer and have fun
dont remember the official name for it but it was, Transformers blah blah blah, For Ps2 lol
Which one? TF games are know:
Beast Wars Transformers
Transformers (Prelude to Energon, this one was an Aramda game anyway)
Transformers (a Japanese made G1 game for Ps2)
Transformers The Game (movie-based)
Transformers Revenge of the Fallen The Game
Transformers War for Cybertron
Transformers Dark of the Moon
Transformers Fall of Cybertron
Transformers Rise of the Dark Spark
And there's some Wii or PS vita games which never reached the big console or PC. I think one Animated and Prime games.
don't remember all i know it was for ps2, and megatron could be a jet
That was the 2007 movie adaptaion then. I played that one, and after beating the missions, you reload any map and free roam the maps. To collect Energon cubes, insignias and for... fun, like you said smashing everything.
i think its that one i can't be sure i haven't played it in ages xD
ROTF has the same function, after beating the main missions you play the side missions and free roam the amps with any character. Even with Jet Optimus! :D
You can't destroy stuff in multiplayer team deathmatch, but you can roam around in multiplayer, the multiplayer team deathmatch maps aren't that big, they are medium sized, and you can get from one side to the next in a short time, but it is a good game, you should give it a try.
You can also transform like the other games, at any time.
Also in campaign single player or campaign co-op, you can't roam but you can find some hidden areas and items, as well as work at specific speeds depending on the scene, and specific scenes would either have a time limit or some part of it that might be destroyed, where other parts of the single player campaign, might have more or unlimited time to explore by walking through it on a path. Alot of it is based upon the war on cybertron as the title of the game says, "war for cybertron".
What I mean is, in that type of a war, you are forced to keep moving when you are short on time, on earth in the other games, you were not short on time in some cases as well as you had the world to explore in open environments, as well as earth is different, and way smaller than cybertron, but on cybertron.. it is a different story to who holds control over it, with the world filled with robots, you were always short on time as to getting to some destination, such as with megatron and his ideas in a hurry, or the autobots, flying or ground vehicles.
The game is worth it, you might like some of the roaming direction it has. On the first single player map, you can travel down the city that keeps expanding the freeway while you drive down it, although it has to come to a stop after a while, but you can probably watch videos on youtube.com of this scene.
What I mean is, you might enjoy this game, give it a try, don't go by what others say or videos, or reviews, you have to try it for yourself. Keep an open mind that this was meant for multiplayer in mostly team deathmatch and other game types.
Although the story expands enough, but I felt it should have been longer.
Megatron was alot of vehicles, very powerful types that were usually unknown by all accept the most hardcore fans, what I mean is, look at the vehicle on the first transformers movie when megatron is flying, most fans wouldn't know what type of space ship/craft that was, but hardcore fans might, or anyone that researches it.
That's one thing about megatron, as large as he is, he has many abilities hidden in him, to transform into other vehicle types, because of him being so large, he would have alot of hidden parts, that's why I am confused as to why they mocked and insulted how large he is and his style in war for cybertron this game, because he is alot more powerful and looks it as well, in many other situations from other games, even the movie, but the old series represents that he lasts through everything, that's also why they keep him going in the movies, even know he doesn't usually go down in a battle like that from what the movies were showing of him.
What I mean is, I felt that megatron deserved more respect than when they made him a tank in transformers: war for cybertron the game, and he should have been larger, all they did was slap together his head onto a tank's body that was already made for multiplayer, a very lazy way of developing, and not worth the money that it was when the game first came out, and not respectful to the fans either.
Although I do enjoy this game, don't get me wrong. =)
