How is the no tap achievement possible?

Just restarting this game for no tap, expected some trouble but I've literally just finished it so I know where everything is.

Early on, however, I'm stuck.

After getting the ghost's pills, you're supposed to touch something on a shelf to unlock the rest of the house.

I can't touch the thing. I've clicked all over. It won't activate. No prompt will appear.

I remember from playing more normally that, often, I can't interact with something until I've looked at it with the cane, even if I know where it is.

How am I supposed to progress and complete the acheivement if I can't interact with things without the cane's help?

i found this on playstationtrophies in case it helps:
In order to obtain this trophy, you simply just have to beat the game without tapping your cane. I would suggest you go for this on your second playthrough so that you can be familiar with the layout of the levels. During your first playthrough you should tap you cane as much as you can while also staying near a hiding location just in case the presence comes. You will want to do this so that you will be able to see the layout of the areas that you are running through. Try and remember the route that you will need to take in order to complete the level because if you can’t remember where to go during any of the levels you will be lost in the darkness and may have to start over.

Also i would advice you to copy your save file on a usb maybe it will help you. I haven't done this achievement and many others so i cannot give you any advice but i will try them someday.

I've read that paragraph myself. It doesn't answer my actual question:

How can I interact with something without "seeing" it? I know where it is. I made that clear in the original post. I've clicked all over. There's no prompt. It won't activate.

Try to start the game from the beginning i guess. If i remember correctly someone else had this problem and it fixed then he/she started the game.

You must play the game at least once before, and remember the map, also the 6th sense button you can tap it anytime. You dont have to repick up every item. The important ones will appear and will be visible through the walls.

Delete the entire Percetion folder in appdata.
