Well, the fact that you can only see the room and where to go by using your echo-location ability, which also attracts the enemies in the game, so it can be freaky, its not like you can get out a Pulse Rifle and shoot the hell out of the enemies like in Colonial Marines or Alien vs Predator.

I play a lot of indie horrors, this is definitely one of the creepiest I've played. I really didn't think I'd find it that good going in, but about 2/3 the way through it does become genuinly frightening. A great play!

It's more like SOMA-scary than Amnesia-scary. Amnesia was a living nightmare. SOMA was freaky but not overly scary.

Like SOMA, this game has a few jump scares but after a while you realize that when you're in trouble you'll know it and you'll hopefully already have a few hiding spots memorized.
