What Is This Game?

So let me get this straight...
The game is an emo simulator to help angst pre-teens off themselves, right?
I mean, that trailer, c'mon, has this developer ever smiled? Life is full of amazing opportunities, freindly people, romance, great food, and the wonderment of what lies beneath the oceans waves, and the heavens above.

So why would someone buy a game that conveys such bleak outlooks on life, or better yet, why would you even make a game like this? Why subject yourself to such negativity, or to think people would open their arms to a game that basically tells them they are beter off dying now, since only misery awaits you?

I'm just glad my friend who tried to commit suicide a while back (he didn't know you're supposed to slit ALONG the arteries and veins, not across them) never played this negative piece of crap that probably thinks it's "edgy" or "deep." No, it's just perpetuating one aspect of life, and sending the wrong message.

So again, why would anyone buy this? How did it even get on Steam?

Life is good if you're well to do, employed well, or have a fairly wealthy connected faimily failing the first two factors.
To the rest of us life is cheap and to society as a whole life is disposable.
To some life is wonderful, to the rest life is hard , unforgiving,sometimes excrutiating, a constant struggle and you have little chance to better your lot in life.
To those of us on this side of the fence this is what we call schadenfreude or gallows humor.
If you can't make things better then you might as well laugh your @$$ off at the futility of it all.
Not everyone "gets" pitch black humor.

I appreciate you taking the time to explain it.
I still find it pretty unappealing, along with Nhilism and a certain type of unpleasant probe.
To each their own, I suppose.
It can't be all bad if we have power for our PCs and money to waste on internet and videogames, am I right? :D
I prefer to percieve my life as that it could be a lot worse than it already is, so forgive me if I unsubscribe from this topic and don't reply further so I may focus on more positive things... Like killing the demon hords in Doom, lol!
