I have two rules:

1. all dating sims should be all-female (slight exception made for the protagonist being a male, but he should be the only one). Over 90% of people who play these know this. That's not an opinion, that's a fact by real-world examples like Naked News, Torquemada Strip Poker and Pokergirls/Racy Rivals.
2. always remember rule #1.

This makes sense, except for one major thing: HuniePot is still a new developer. They only have had two titles released so far. They probably shouldn't take on an endeavor that could lose them enough money that they would do anything to jeopardize the Huniepop sequel. It's bad enough that Ryan, the guy who founded the company is having stress issues and the games are being delayed. If this was EA, I'd say let them make a game with guys in it, they can go ahead and charge these people $9.95 for each character and lose a few million dollars.

Most of the men shown, especially Kyu, in Hunkiepop almost look like a joke. If a male-oriented game turns out to be a bust and bleeds red ink, there will be no money for HP2, which means that literally my favorite character and my future waifu, Lillian won't get the full nudity, last name and personality makeover that is required for making her an actual dating sim character in the Huniepop world.

That would be the worst fate of all.

i find it hilarious how this thread was created as a proactive request for more content to a beloved game, and it has somehow attracted people people supporting an argument against more optional content for a game...

So, to anyone here who doesn't want to see optional male models in the game, I'm curious as to why you care so much. I mean, aside from homophobia or insecurity that illustrated men might turn you on.

I mean... literally every argument I've seen against it has boiled down to "i dont wanna see male cam models (btw... not a gay thing unless you as a male see them sexually) or summarily, that there isn't a market for it... which has also been proven to be wrong.

lmfao... you know what, I've been building a mod for months now, but Im contacting the publishers with a link to this thread as evidence to why the addition isn't just wanted by many, but needed as a middle finger to the ignorant. And if they don't do it, I'll be dropping a mod with about double the content in the game as it currently stands. New girls. New guys. New content.

Dont like it? dont play it :) But there will be a ton of us who do. I mean, if these guys do this I'll buy 50 copies and drop keys around the forums for the month after release.

I definitely will, and if the publisher doesnt respond or isnt cool with it, I'm not charging for it. I'll upload it as a separate mod. So far it adds two new buildings and new characters with the option at the game load screen as to whether you want to work with mixed (all), female only, male only, trans, couples, etc characters. one of the new buildings is a Porn studio where you can shoot movies and make a small daily profit from royalties. To make Videos the model has to have the porn star buff which they get by maxing all stats.

The second building is a casino where the time in game stops (paused) while you play minigames (strip poker, blackjack, slots). I though it was a fun idea for those who get a little bored with the grind and dont want to stop playing, but feel like they need something a little different.

I also allow you to choose (due to way more content) 3 game modes at the start screen. first is classic mode, no mods, old (but great) game. second is the modded game which doubles the days given to the player, allowing an end game of sorts. Third is XXX mode where everything is "longer and harder" lol. Basically a hard mode that gives you a hundred days to build a porn empire.

When this is done I will be contacting the creator again and giving them a month to get back to me. giving them first dibs on releasing and charging for the expansion DLC. If that doesn't happen i'll release it on p1rat3bay for free to give new life to the game. The base game would still need to be owned of course, and my mod will check to make sure it's a legit copy.

If people enjoy the DLC I will keep making them. I mean, there's no limit to how many mods and reconstructions you can pack on this game, it's got a solid engine. I'd like to get to the point where the first city you're in is one of about 10 and all your empires contribute to a networked economy and a leaderboard system.
