Is this game supposed to be THIS hard?

My hp bar drops the second the battle starts and I can barely recover from the endless attacks coming my way. It feels right near impossble to win anything but the tutorial levels. How are you supposed to play like that? Whenever I do attack, my hits barely chip away at their health while one attack halfs my hp. Seriously, what is this?

Tbh, story mode was pretty hard. All the characters you play as are pretty strong though, with whitebeard just time your specials right and you'll be good, with akainu use your logia reflex then do your basic combo (make sure logia reflex doesn't completely drain) and I forgot what I did with ace.

This game is just ♥♥♥♥. It's to hard to play. im still stuck in episode luffy against mihawk. That dude reks u. U cant block his attacks and dodging is almost impossible. And the layout of the keys. like WTF . u cant even play normal with these settings. and i dont know what would be better. its just a thrown away 70 bucks. thx bandai

Some matches that seem hard, is likely because you are missing the use of a skill, that is ideal for the situation. Other then that, their is a difficulty option, however, its only used in free mode. But hey its great for practice.

this game is very unbalanced as you experienced. if you think it's horrible already. try to proceed and fight akainu using ace. you will know all the nightmares you claim to have belong to the best dream category.

The story mode can be quite difficult - to start with I'd recommend ignoring the EX Chapters and even the requirements for fully completing a stage if need be, just focus on clearing the main objective. After a few you should have enough Beli to unlock a few characters (perhaps your favourites, or just ones you enjoy playing, you don't have to worry about which support characters until later), which you can then practice with in free battle, and get to learn their combos.

When you're confident enough, try taking a team into Pirate Flag Battle or completing Wanted Posters (the Flag Battle gives you more Beli, but it's significantly harder, at least to begin with), perhaps with one of the story mode characters in the team with you - this means they'll gain more experience upfront. If you include Ace or Luffy in your team, say, and manage to win a Pirate Flag Battle vs COM, they'll get 5000 EXP, so that can be helpful. Even the characters in the background will get 500.

Support characters can be unlocked through the first set of training posters - the ones that start with Lola - though I'd perhaps recommend Yosaku & Johnny, Tashigi or Sentomaru (maybe not all at once - there are many possible combinations) as a starting point. Both Beli and EXP rewards gradually increase for the posters, so there are many ways of building a good foundation. Each time a rankup poster is available, complete it as soon as you can, the character who is currently present will be unlocked as a support, allowing another character to enter and so on. Keep in mind not all supports are unlocked this way, the majority of them have to be bought through Buggy.

As a final word, try - if you can - not to judge the entirety of the game (both difficulty and depth) by the story mode. It's extremely far from the best first impression, and if I had to be honest it's quite frankly dull and repetitive. The AI is methodical, and can be a bit overwhelming. Online players tend to be slightly more reckless in their actions, and are going to be, or have been very recently, in the same position as you (if you have someone you can play the two player duels with, that would be ideal).

I've managed to outplay the paramount war part. but where is the rest of the story? i bought gold pack but i dont have punk hazard, dress rosa and stuff
