Diseased woman and Barnabas has the cure?

I found a woman in a house unable to leave due to her severe illness. I am eventually directed to Barnabas who tells me she is going to die and there is no helping her. Later I find a silver tree and take some bark. After Barnabas examines it he says it can likely cure all sorts of diseases, but there is no option to ask about the woman that initially directed to him.

Is this a bug because I did something out of order? Has anyone cured her?

It sounds like it might be bugged. I did it in the "correct" order and the quest was resolved.

I think I may have messed it up because I found her before Barnabas and he gave me the tree quest and I couldn't find it for a few game days. I was looking for a SILVER tree, not a tree with gray/white bark. I also didn't expect it to literally be a 10 second walk from his house. I searched all around the lake.

I did first banabas quest and later find the woman, and seems bugged to me too.

it now works must talk to barnabus first and do quests then find woman and make her a potion, although the results are unexpected lol

It's only bugged if you do it in the wrong order.

Those are for crafting. I have 3 of them, others have said to found 7-8 over the course of the game. If you're asking about the curing potion for the quest, you don't. Barnabas will give you one when you have the quest active and have previously completed the silver bark quest for Barnabas.

First you need to go to Brown, as the Journal indicates, then you go to Barnabas and finally return to the sick woman.

After that, something will happen, have mercy (!) don't do anything rash, just go back to Barnabas, he will give you a spell, return to the lady (!) with the new spell and finally cure her.

Ps: I know that the thread is ancient, but is listed first in search results. Wanted to help future generations.
