A map for searing desert?

I am completely lost there, cannot find the Ancient catacombs where Necromancer's remains are and this are seems to be really big. Is there any map there? I think I missed it out, since when I'm pressing M it says "I have no map for this area".

doesn't exist, afaik. when you enter the desert, stay near the left wall and move up the map and you'll run into it, more or less.

I found or got a blank map in inv (scrolls) that can be used to map the desert, kinda. Better than nothing but tends to more/less featureless. Adding comments on it helps some

Can't believe the number of tricks in this game, too bad I forgot those blank maps so late in the game and yeah found desert a little tedious and I wouldn't have spite on some in game manual mapping.
