GENERAL HINTS & TIPS

Aim and Move
* This is the most important thing about Fragmental - if you only read one thing about the game, this is the one to read.
* Fragmental is a twin stick shooter. So, you can move your character and aim independantly at all times. The Left Stick controls your player character movement, and the Right Stick controls your aim direction. This allows you to move in one direction and aim in a completely different direction at the same time. This ability to move and aim independently is central to the entire game, so make sure that your Right Thumb is constantly pushing that Right Stick to aim at all times, even if you're not firing, you can still be aiming in the direction you intend to shoot when you get a clear line of sight of your target.

Sprint
* You can Sprint at any time by pressing and holding the Left Trigger / L2 button. The disadvantage of the extra speed, is that you can't use the Right Stick to aim while you Sprint. So be careful of firing your Weapon while Sprinting as it will fire straight in the direction you are Sprinting.

Melee
* If you don't have a Weapon equipped - basically the start of every Round - you can perform a Melee attack by pressing the Right Trigger / R2 button. If you hit an enemy player, you will momentarily stun them and knock their Weapon out of their hands. Be careful, they are not stunned for more than a heart beat, so you'll need to be fast if you want to steal their Weapon before they get back into action.

Throw Weapon
* You can Throw your Weapon at any time using the Left Bumper / L1 button on your controller. If you hit an enemy with the Thrown Weapon it will stun them for a couple of seconds and knock their Weapon out of their hand - so you can pick it up and shoot them in the face with their own Weapon. Nice.

Red is Bad
* In Fragmental, if you see something coloured Red, it's generally a warning of impending death. Red Laser Beams, Red Death Spheres, Red Death Walls and Red Lines on the edge of Maps where you will fall to your death. Red stuff is bad. Stay away from the Red stuff.

Pulse Position
* If you lose track of where or what colour you are, mash the B / Square button on the controller and it will make your character emit a little radar ping / pulse in your player character colour.

Teleporters
* Weapon projectiles also pass through Teleporters, so be wary of standing in front of one, you could end up getting killed by someone taking a sneaking shot into a Teleporter at the other side of the Map.

WEAPONS INFO

Pistol
* The most accurate weapon in the game right now. It takes skill to get kills with the Pistol, but it feels great when you do.
* Very accurate with fast projectiles for good long range capabilities - if your aim is true. Also the lightest weapon in the game, so you move faster with a Pistol equipped than anything other than the Power Gloves.

SMG
* Similar to the Machinegun, there's not that much to be said about this Weapon. It's an SMG.
* It's got a higher rate of fire than the Machinegun, but it has less bullets in the clip and it also has more bullet spread and slightly slower projectiles. So it's a very useful useful weapon at close quarters, but it becomes more spray and pray when aiming at a target from long range.

Machinegun
* There's not that much to be said about this weapon. It's a Machinegun.
* It's got a slightly slower rate of fire than the SMG, but it has more bullets in the clip and it also has less bullet spread and faster projectiles. So it's a more accurate Weapon that works fairly well at longer ranges.

Shotgun
* There's nothing really special about the Shotgun. It fires a volley of projectiles in the same shot with fairly large bullet spread.
* It's similar to the Flak Gun, but it has more ammo and the projectiles have greater speed. Very good at close range, but not quite so effective at long range.

Rocket Launcher
* Fires a fast moving and constantly accelerating Rocket that flies in a perfectly straight line, with huge splash damage.
* Be very careful of firing this if there is anything close in front of you, or you will die. Very good weapon at long range due to it's constant acceleration.

Homing Rocket Launcher
* Fires Homing Rockets that will lock on to and follow any character within their view cone - including yourself, so be careful.
* Homing Rockets turn slowly, so increase the angle between them and you to break their lock. You can steer them back towards the enemy who fired them and make them lock on to them rather than you too.

Flak
* Fires a group of energy bolts that will bounce off any object they hit, each bolt can bounce 2 times before they are destroyed.
* This is an incredibly effective weapon if you can get your angles for the bounce right. It's also just as dangerous to yourself if you get the angles wrong, so be careful when firing in enclosed spaces.

Disc Gun
* Fires spinning Discs that bounce off any object they hit, theyslow down with each bounce until they eventually time out and disintegrate. The Disc can also be split into two smaller bouncing Discs if hit by another projectile. Small Discs are destroyed instantly if hit with another projectile.
* A great weapon to fire into a room and then back away and let it do it's work. Don't fire this when you're in an enclosed space, or you'll be in trouble. If you're feeling confident, you can fire a Disc then instantly throw your weapon to hit the Disc and make it split into two.

Driller
* Fires projectiles that will drill through any object they hit within the Map. The speed of movement is slowed when they are drilling through an obstacle and they can become invisible for a period of time while drilling through thick obstacles, so keep an eye on them.
* The perfect weapon to use while you hide behind a wall, just fire at your target and let the Driller make it's way straight across the Map. If you have a Driller and you see an Infinite Ammo Modifier - pick it up and let them fly.

Shrapnel Gun
* The Shrapnel Gun fire a single relatively slow moving projectile. When this projectile hits an object it explodes, sending out 5 new projectiles in a starburst formation.
* This is a fantastic Weapon for firing around corners, if you can get your angles correct. The projectile will still detonate after a few seconds even if it hasn't hit an object.

Cross Beam
* Fires an electrically charged projectile that emits electrical beams to the left and right side. The beams have limited range and are stopped by obstacles. The projectile will attach to any solid object it hits and contine to emit both beams until it loses charge after a few seconds.
* This weapon is great for cutting a path straight through a Map - just make sure you keep the central projectile from hitting anything as it flies, and don't walk through the electrical beams of any that are stuck to a wall or they will kill you.

Redeemer
* Fires a slow moving projectile with huge splash damage. The projectile can be remotely controlled using the Right Stick while it is in flight so you can steer it and chase down your target.
* You can still move your character with the Left Stick while steering the Redeemer Rocket with your Right Stick. The Rocket will detonate after 6 seconds of flight, or you can just smash it into a wall when close enough to the desired target and let the splash damage take care of them. Redeemer Rockets can be hit with other projectiles too - so if you're good enough you can shoot them out of the air before they get to you.

Power Gloves
* Power Gloves turn you into a ground pound killing machine. They generate a close range area effect attack that will kill anyone within close proximity.
* Same weight as the Pistol, so your run speed is almost unaffected with Power Gloves equipped. You can still steer your character while the Power Glove activation animation is playing, so you can steer around walls while you attack. If you trigger the Power Glove while Sprinting, you can jump across some gaps in the Maps - try it out.
