This is what I am thinking before chapter 4.

For chapter 3, possible to add some note/reminder about the code after the purchased for future reference. People can forget the code easily and the guy who sell the code won't say it again. Even if player needed to pay for the second time is still a better chance for them. Some like to do things later. Without the code, the side quest can't be completed.

The shooting part is a bit on the grinding when compare with the in-game battles or puzzles.
It lags when player gained more than 1000-1500 points.

The Hell casket is making me very frustrated, is still an OK thing for the first play. But not for evertime. That's another reason I don't want to play chapter 2 again unless needed.

Not sure about the battles. Is battle not so important in the game? But player(s) still need to defeat the boss (aka battles). And I think leveling up Alice with a system like this can be fun. Maybe one or two chapters only for battles "use" can be added, just put a healing spring or something like that at the leaving point.

Unless the game not intended for long playthrough..

- I'll see what I can do but I am not certain about that, you can actually do the sidequest also if you defeat Mongo since Mongo does not respawn, not even on Hardcore mode. Also, Becky remembers the number of minerals you gave to her in softcore mode and they carry over to Hardcore mode.

- I never noticed lag in the Harpy vs Martians, not even when the entire screen was full with enemies all shooting and moving. You can check FPS yourself by pressing F2 key to enable it.

- I am sorry and yeah, I was thinking about a new level which would be a more of a neutral zone after doing the quests inside: meaning that you'd not have to rely on stage 2 to do all your puchases. It'd also give a lot more stuff to do as well as people to meet as well as possibly new achievments and fishing location? The placement would be after Ice Hell but before End Zone. This update won't be ready any time soon though because of all the new work involved in doing it but like I said, I do have plans for expansion.

- See above spoiler.

I have yet to complete hardcore mode, so some of the suggestions may not be appropriate.

- More stuff to fish.
Maybe add items? Simple health brews and maybe useless stuff you can sell for a few coins. I really liked the surprise when you fish at the first pond. Can you add some more?

- More health pots.
I believe the starting health pot gave like 1300 health. Maybe make the starting one around 50 health, a second for 100, third for 200 ish and maybe a final for 1300.

- Lower prices or more starting money.
I remember not finding it worth buying a health pot since i would be broke right after.

- Lower value for hell mineral.
If you reach the achivement of the reward from the lady, you should be rich by then. A value of 150 would be more appropriate for softcore for sure. Maybe greater value for hardcore if stuff gets more expensive.

- Option to skip hell casket (sorry i forgot how its name) if you already did it.
I personally found it stressful on the first time which is fine. The second time where i visited the lava world instead of going straight to ice world, I had to do it again and i had quite low health. After you finish softcore, you have too much health to even care to dodge the obstacles.

- A companion? Lynneth joining your party was pretty cool, but you didnt have to fight or anything. Maybe a partner pet which deals a fixed amount of dmg or a partner that heals you lets say 100 health every so often. They are not super useful but it should be cool. To make it easy, they shouldnt be able to die or lose health.

- Price on bait. When i played hardcore, I had over 200 baits and all of them were for free from the witch sister.

Thats all i can think for now.

- Yes, I actually did have something like that already in my mind to have fish that can be cooked into health brews and maybe even energizers. We'll see if that makes it into the next update or not.

- I did think about that, but I'm not sure if it's that good idea to flood all these extra potions especially since Health Brews were always so good. This would increase inventory clutter quite bit and the 50 one would be pretty useless as it'd only restore back the same health you'd lose, especially against Ungolia at the start of the game.

- I originally thought about giving more money (in fact, if you looked at the patch notes, enemies used to give a lot more gold) but I thought it'd then be more fun feeling when you get super rich thanks to Becky later when you have been poor first.

- Becky is actually a special NPC as she never comes back after her quest is done, not even going through again in hardcore mode. She also remembers the number of minerals you gave her in softcore and you can also still complete it in hardcore mode if you miss it in softcore. You can also buy Brigandine in Softcore for 30000 gold and Magical Dunce Cap in Hardcore for 50000. Though, Becky and her money is the reason there's limited inventory for all the shops to begin with. Lowering her Hell Mineral worth would make the game a lot harder as you can't gain more money from her after the gift, as you'd get around 75000 or so after the reduced worth you proposed. This would make it near impossible to get both Magical Dunce Cap and Brigandine unless a lot more farming would be done beforehand and that's not counting the costs of Health Brews and Energizers.

The only other NPC like Becky who's special is Mongo. If you kill him in softcore, he doesn't return in Hardcore.

- I did think about the prices but Becky kinda destroys the money value entirely with her questline.

- I originally thought about the companions but then I figured it'd take away a lot of the atmosphere, travelling together is different than facing the dangers alone.

- The bait was free since you can get it for free from Bella too. If it'd be expensive, players would just go to Bella, I figured. What price you'd suggest?

For the health pots, i agree for the inventory issue. Using a health brew for like 200 health is a bit overkill tho. It hurts more using it and seeing most of it go to waste. Since you learn Cure at some point, I honestly rather spam cure instead of using an item though its a preference.

Fish into health pots sounds good to me.

It is indeed nice to feel super rich but if you cant spend that ton of money, so it doesnt feel that nice in that case.

Maybe the value of hell minerals to 300 - 400 then? 150k or 200k should be largely enough if those two items are the most expensive ones. (Thanks for spoiling the no. of hell mineral. Time to grind 300 more)

Oh and what about skipping hell casket? or the lava tomb thingy? Sounds good?

True for companions. Maybe an option for hardcore players? Since they already know the story. Ill be honest, ill play hardcore only for the achievements and i wanna see how tough it gets.

Bella gives a bunch only (5-8 i forgot). It doesnt have to be expensive. Maybe 2-3 coins per bait? For now, you only have a bunch of fish so 10 baits are far more than enough. 20-30 coins are easy to spend since you can get way more from mob drops.

I completed everything in Hardcore mode, but when I got to the Gate of Heaven, Abyss wasn't there for me to fight. I should have used more than enough of the Essence of the Eights or whatever they were called in order for him/her to appear. Also, the final battle was such a damage sponge (with unnecessary healing as well) that I just gave up my hardcore run and just accepted it as not meant to be. You can tell by my achievements that I'm speaking the truth because you only get pictures 2, 5 and 6 from completing Trixie's math quiz on Hardcore.

Also, half the enemies in hardcore had buffed up stats but didn't give more experience/gold than their original counterparts. At the beginning, I was getting 1 exp and 15 gold from either the bats or the mushrooms.

You get most EXP in the belly of the witch.

You need to find 7 Exalted Eight potions on Hardcore mode to meet Abyss. Abyss gives an item that helps you defeat the final boss; Necklace of Eight which boosts all stats. I suggest using the True Sword of Kings also because melee has a chance of stunning so you can stunlock Mama Head.
