This mission is really tricky as for a couple of times I had still some time left in the blue indicator when the mission was suddenly failing.
Taking the ennemy waves in the proper way does the trick ;).
By the way thank you for supporting triple screen resolution - eventhough the good ratio is in windowed mode - its quite enjoyable.
Cheers
I, as a simmer, am really interested in getting this helo-sim game.
Got just one question about the way this sim/game is intended to be played ...
With sims like DCS I can easily setup quick missions.
In Apache Air Assault though some campaign missions were really hard to accomplish.
Why not simply make the campaign missions available for those players who want to 'cheat' / play all missions from day 1 ?
I read somewhere there is something like a 'pilot.dta' file that would keeps the missions log ?
Are we allowed to get/download that file with all missions accomplished (for re-play) ?
For many 'gamers' such a thing ruines the fun, but as a 'Sim-mer' I would prefer to also fly all (campaign) missions from day 1 !?
I know there seems to be an editor, but from experience I know that missions made by Developers are way better (they sure are for DCS).
Looks like a terrific fun title though ... could possibly more than rival the terrific A:AA !?
The missions are hard and fun thought. It is a fun little arcade game/flight sim light. And you can fly a Hind D. There is track ir support. You can use your hotas system.
I personally would have liked open world campaign maps like Desert Strike, Jungle Strike or Comanche 4 or Apache vs Hind. Big open maps with several mission objectives and you can reload on makeshift air strips. Those games were fun. Perhaps for a sequel?
It is a fun game. There are quite a few user made missions in the workshop. The mission editor is easy to use i think.
Have fun.
I appreciate it a lot !
I guess I's better wait a while longer because it seems these Devs are (anyday now?) gonna announce/release anorther DLC or even add-on to further support additional (US, European?) helicopters.
But if this kind of aftersales support proves to be there (not like with the unfortunate "Apache: Air Assault" title !) I will sure buy AMH and *any* future DLC these Devs can get out of the door !
OK, I agree ... this is more of a game (not so much sim?), but it was the Arcade Comanche series that got me interested in flight sims, so I don't really mind it not being DCS-like.
This seems sheer fun (BTW I saw many Youtube vids on this) and that too is why I am into this.
A:AA was a great title (but got abandoned, what a pity !), so if these Devs can put e.g. the AH64D/A in this title it could put a big smile on my face.
I'm now anticipating DCS World 2.5 (as everyone else I guess :-)), but that does not mean a more "fun title" can not bring more joy ... in DCS I never put *every* realism option to 'on' anyway !
I am thrilled the helicopter scene is not abandoned after all ... seeing this sheered AM-H title and a few other competitors.
Thanks again ... may meet you guys in the skies later on :-) !
It's really annoying as I can't continue the campaign without this mission and, having not completed the campaign I assume some equipment are not available to use them in the instant missions... This kills the game...
I usually ream just after 1st wave and get high. Then you need to prioritize your targets : 1st use AT on the 4 BMPs while strafing with rockets during position change, then spot lonely infantery shooting SAMs and get them asap while constantly using rockets/gun on infantery waves during position changes.
Learn where the waves spawns and it should work ...after a couple of hours or so :)
