Controller issue
I have a little problem with my Logitech F310 gamepad, in the menu xbox buttons switch to ps4 buttons almost after every action, and when it comes to fight in these moments I can't do anything but move, I can't dodge, I can't shoot, I can't slash and it doesnt make the game unplayable, but makes it much more harder and I need to play twice as hard, because in any battle I inevetably taking damage when I need to dodge and just can't, hope there is a solution, though I haven't seen anyone on this forum with the same issue.

We've been able to reproduce one of the bugs in this thread (where one of the symptom was the icons switching in the menus) and we've implemented a fix that can be tested in the beta "default_gamepad" by using the password "defaultgamepad". This beta is exactly the same as the public release but with the gamepad fix.

For those testing it, please let us know how it works.

Patch fixes the problem for me, my Logitech F310 works perfectly, in X-input, just defeated first boss and haven't seen any issues at all.

Thrustmaster Dual Analog 4 + x360ce works fine with the beta. I defeated the first two bosses in Furier mode without much trouble, except for the stick wiggling QTEs which I almost always missed, but that's probably me being terrible at them.

I know this is an older discussion but wanted to add that I was having the same issue with my Nvidia Shield Controller but upon going with the beta version the problem seems to have gone away.

Im using an At-Play wired controller for ps3 and ps2 and I can get it working for all other games that use controller support. I tried all solutions above but non of them have worked for me. The controller did not work at all in the main version of the game, but when I switched over to the beta (default_gamepad) version only the left analog stick was working. When i am at the starting screen and it says "press any button" if i press a button on the controller it moves to the menue. This makes me think that the buttons are being read, but are not bound to anything (or something like that). I made it up to the 5th boss relying on mouse and keyboard, but it has become too fast paced for me to beat it.

I got the same problem as Chuck Chedder, i can move in the menu and in game, but i cannot do anything else.

I have been facing the same problem as the last two posters. I am using a snakebyte ds3 controller and while it works for all other games I have tried it with it, Furi does not recognize any buttons once I have moved past the "press any button" screen. The beta default_gamepad fix only affects the left control stick. I would appreciate any help.

I switched to a Windows 7 computer and everything worked perfectly fine, so it seems like it's a Windows 10 thing.

Windows 7, same here.
I have a PS3 controller and used to use MotioninJoy, but that's not a thing anymore.
So now instead I'm usind "Scp drivers", works wonders with every other game, but not with Furi.

Recently purchased the game. On Windows 10 and using an Xbox One Controller via USB. Every time I try to play, the controller works in the menu screens, but when I try to engage in a battle, the controls work briefly and then freeze. If I am firing with the right analog, I will continue to fire in that direction without pressing anything (no other buttons work, either) until I engage the keyboard functions. If I am using the left analog to move, I will continue to move in that direction until I engage the keyboard functions. I have tried a few of the suggestion on this page, including the beta version, but nothing seems to work. Don't really want to purchase another controller as this is the first/only game I have run into this issue with with my xbox one controller. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I see that a lot of people get new gamepad issues, after that patch with fix was released, maybe you should create another topic for it, since my is pretty old and aready solved it's problem, I don't see the devs reading all this, may they'll notice you in the new topic. As an advice I can only recommend you to see some software like Controller Companion that allows to emulate keyboard buttons by gamepad and play that way, maybe you won't be able to move so accurate, but it's better than don't have any control, right?

I'm having the same issue with the controller only working during the "press any button" intro screen. The thing is, I KNOW that it used to work. I completed the game around the time it first got released, and I only played with a controller. I had to slowly stop playing because of my work and studies. Wanted to get back to it to kill some time and I had also heard of the "one more fight" DLC which I also wanted to play. The weird part is that it worked like a week ago, but ever since I tried using a PS4 controller the issue started to occur (it may have nothing to do with the PS4 controller, not sure what triggered this issue). The "defaultgamepad" beta code is seen as invalid too.

I actually figured out the solution to my own problem about a week after first submitting this comment. I could not find any videos or posts with a solution, so I made my own video to try and help others with the same problem.

If you guys have a generic XInput or XBox controller, simply copy xinput1_3.dll and Xinput9_1_0.dll from your System32 folder into Furi_Data/Plugins folder, where XInputInterface32.dll should already be present.

Unity's dlls have this problem of ignoring system32 dlls and keep searching their source folder for linked dlls.

Hope this helps you guys, because I had a lot of trouble with my generic XInput controller as well with other games. This helped me instantly.

You can also put the x360ce generated xinput1_3 dll into the Plugins folder. I haven't checked if it works, but it should in theory.
