Or we could use other methods o.o Such as simply delaying until the hedonist gets there or using some form of 'stealth' tech I mean it wouldn't be impossible for the situation to be defused >.<
and i'm sure atleast one person in the 'college' has some ability to disable bombs >.> its silly that we go rush in an weh ave no way to delay or distract or disable >.> i mean i know that loss is inevitable in 'war' but >.> still.
As for the taser and such, I believe you ended up setting your gear and weapons aside before Contrarian even lets you get close enough to use them. Were that not the case, the Contrarian turns out to be much more powerful than even the two of you could be expected to handle and the outcome would probably be the same, just by different methods.
I suppose, if you are the hopeful type, maybe Origami isn't dead, maybe she can be reconstituted if you can only put her all back together and not let her parts be scattered around... Oops.
Regret and sad feels tbh. Although, I should've noticed her role, with her official art and description and all.
You can save Origami only if you saved the piece of her. She becomes a tiny girl you keep in your pocket, like that little Groot sprout in Guardians of the Galaxy. All the other parts of her were never really gathered and if they were, they were scattered from the hospital at her funeral, thus keeping her from reforming.
You don't find this out until well into the 3rd installment... when it's far too late to take that choice back. YOU killed her by discarding her while she was desperately trying to cling to your pantleg.
Naw, I'm just kidding, the Manipulater actually teleported her into a nearby briefcase/backpack just before the explosion went off. Being in paper form, she couldn't get out except for a tiny piece that got torn off trying to get past the zipper. That's the piece clinging to you at the end of the story. All those other paper bits you saw were just that, papers blown into confetti about the room from the explosion. Origami is being held captive and no one's even looking for her because they all think she's dead, because YOU told them she was.
In the 3rd installment, she's been trained and turned to evil, becoming Papercut, a minor henchmen of the Dozen. You can save her only with the tiny piece of Origami that survived IF you saved it. Otherwise, you end up ripping her in half and killing her yourself... to save the lives of innocents of course, thereby completing the mission Downfall has been training you for all along. She almost succeeded herself except Stoic intervened in the 1st story.

whatever the future parts bring i demand to go toe to toe with someone called Papercut. for some reason i love that mental image.
if Fail:
'The thin, gray figure lashes out at you from the shadows, its movements seem graceful and slow, reminding you of someone from somewhere in the past. You block the attacks, but instead of an impact, it feels like tingling lines of pain are left behind. You glance down and see nothing at first, then notice tiny red lines of blood welling up from your forearm.'
::Thud test:: if Fail:
'This startles you enough that you fail to dodge a slap at your face from the nearly two-dimensional figure. Instead of a *smack* of impact it's more like the shred of someone ripping a sheet of paper from a loose-leaf notebook. All five fingers trail across your face, leaving tiny stinging lines of annoyance.'
"You think that's gonna stop me?" you say, glancing back at the figure who's now holding a strange vial in its other willowy, flowing hand.
::Whoosh test:: if Fail
A splash of liquid catches you full in the face. Is it acid, some kind of knock-out drug? You smell musky spice and try to hold your breath but your nose tingles like you're passing a cosmetics counter during the holidays. Aftershave?!
'Wait, those tiny cuts on my face,' you suddenly think. 'I wonder if that's gonna hur...'
Oh God, it burns! Those tiny lines of annoying stings turn into rivers of agony as every tiny nick and razor slice seems to light up nerve endings you didn't know you had.
"Sorry to be such a...Brut" comes a breezy hiss from the flowing figure as it drifts into the air intake of a ventilation shaft.
@AceHangman, I liike your spinoff!
