As a person who prides himself in his real life stoicism, Jacob hit me deep in an unexpected way. I don't really know why, or even how, but something with that kid struck a cord. It was amplified by the fact that I didn't even anticipate it in the slightest. I'd like to go on some existential ramble about it setting examples of how we can all strive to be heroes, or some such, but uh... Nah. Instead, I'll just say good job there, author. Now excuse me, I think I have something in my eye.
