Only from *near* 0 meter do you get a fullpower nudge after that its very much nerfed.
The Nudge is 4 way, it is NOT actually analog meaning you can't soft nudge/hard nudge.
let me check on my xbox one controller
edit: it works on my xbox one controller wired detected as 360, let me try again with wireless, but in the capture it looks like it registers the first nudge as a left not up since you're in the trough you can only see up clearly really.
did you change binds at all?
I knew about the nudge power. I'm using default binds, the only nudge which seems to move the ball is the left with the left stick.
In the video I start with up on the left stick, the animation plays but the ball doesn't go up, I wait until the nudge power goes back to normal then press up again on the left stick, same result. I then press down but since it's in the trough it won't show anything useful, then left and it does move the ball left, I then press right but it doesn't go right, despite playing the animation and the gamepad tester registering all directions properly. .
After that I use the right stick and all the directions nudge the ball despite not even being assigned anywhere in the binds. I think something may be wrong with the keybinds menu and doesn't show what is actually bound but even then, it's weird the screenshake and nudge animation plays while not actually nudging...
I have no issues in other games. Tell me if you need anything to help troubleshoot this.
Usually I would take a look at the config file myself but couldn't find any. Anyone knows where it's located?

In the default joystick controls Left Stick Y is assigned to both "UI Vertical Nav" and "Nudge Vertical". I've changed the bind for "UI Vertical Nav" to another button and then rebound "Nudge Vertical" to "Left Stick Y" and "Nudge Horizontal" to "Left Stick X" (the same as default) and now the nudge works on the left stick in all four directions! (I still can't explain why unassigned keys have an effect in-game though but it's no biggie if I can finally play)
I noticed a few people in the forums mentioning that they had issues understanding the nudge physics too because they had the feeling it didn't do much, just like me. Maybe they had the same issue?
- While troubleshooting for my issue, I noticed a couple of other bugs with the interface: the keybinds interface won't let you assign buttons to two functions at the same time, like it is "A" by default for "Plunger" and "UI select button". Basically you have to revert to default if you change any of these.
- The loading picture is not showing the correct buttons from the default config or otherwise.
- A bit more annoying is that the settings menu and the in-game settings do not seem to actually display as they're currently set... like the resolution always showing the default 60hz or the unlocked framerate settings always showing as "unlocked" even though I'm using a locked framerate.
With that said I absolutely love the style of your game and can't wait to see what you will make next
