Kinda unplayable for me
So my computer fit all the requirements for the game (maybe a tad off for the video card, still need to upgrade that) but my computer seems to run games like Diablo 3 just fine so i didn't think their would be too much of an issue. I found however the game [] is very laggy and just unplayable. I know in a lot of games that disabling shadows usually fixes any lag issue i have but Krater lacks this setting. I think it may be a good idea to look in to see if a disable shadows would be possible but if it's too much code or whatever then I'll just have to wait till i can upgrade my computer to enjoy this game.

P.S. Please don't comment on this with "why should they have to add features for lower grade computers" or anything else regarding my computer. it's not the point of this post, i know my computer is not 100% ready for newer game tech, but it's the only computer I have and I enjoy gaming and till recently have play any/all games just fine. I'm just saying that having settings to lower processing power needed (like shadows) should really be in any non-console game (in my opinion).

Long story short:: My computer can't run Krater, and it's in my opinion that a disable shadows setting should be added.

Thank you for your time -Elwood

I agree on the settings, I would love for them to put all the video options there is into the settings, just make an advanced video settings and let people change the things they want to change. As it is now we move into the settings file and change it manually(by using notepad or similar), so I mean just give us the advanced video settings tab already ! ;-)

Anyway, if you haven't found this already, then here is a link to the 'old' steam forum for Krater where there is a post about the things you can tweak in the settings file, mind you, you have to do this manually via notepad or notepad++(or similar).

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2813707

On the issue with being unplayable and laggy, in general with Krater, if your desktop or laptop is right at the minimum requirement, it will not run that well...in general minimum means, it will run, but not necessarily run well.

Anyway, do take a look at the link I posted, you should be able to tweak things to what might be a playable state.
If you have any problems doing it or need help with it, just ask here and I will see what I can do

If you don't like editing the settings file, just post the resolution you play the game in, your graphic card/cpu and how much ram you have(and if it is desktop or laptop) and I will see if I can make a settings file with settings that may run the game a bit better for you.

After following the instructions from the linked thread, my game went from unplayable to running smoothly. Thanks! Bumping this in case anybody else is running into the same issue.
