Also, is it not working in the main waiting area, when you're in a match, or both?
By default, the up and down cursor keys would move forward and backwards, but the left and right keys would rotate instead of strafe - and there was no ability to map them to strafe in game.
As as lefty, I bind keys in the image below:
Lefty Keybinds[ibb.co]
up arrow: move forward
down arrow: move backward
left arrow: strafe left
right arrow: strafe right
ctrl: jump
shift: prone
\: use|interact
delete, end, pagedown, insert, home, page: typically potions or gear
numpad 0: throw grenade
numpad 1: sprint
numpad 2: crouch
numpad.: switch fire mode
numpad 4: reload
numpad 7: primary weapon
numpad 8: secondary weapon
numpad 9: tertiary weapon
numpad 5: communication
My pinky can cover any key in the numpad region without the need to remove my fingers from the movement keys.
We're certainly working to correct any issues control schemes as we continue with the Alpha. We understand how important it can be to the core experience, and will our do our best to support as many adjustments as we can.
If I am playing a melee class, I don't mind using the controller. However, as a ranged class - my aim is abysmal with a controller.
I'm of the same mindeset of CQCoder, I don't play games that don't allow one to rebind the entire keyset.
As I stated earlier, this is something we're still working on, and I agree personally with you. Once I have an update on key binding adjustment, I'll be sure to post an update in this thread.
