How do you beat the first Kala fight?

I can block the first "phase" of her beams with the all team block, but after that, they're unblockable. Do I need to avoid the beams somehow or do I need to suck them up and constantly heal?

yeah just heal. or build enough meter to advance the phases before you die I used thorani and lanshi. thorani provided the heals while lanshi just slept and built meter.

Don't know if you're having the same problem I did, but my problem was that I only had 3 characters. If you have Dhar in your party REMOVE HIM. The way your party is selected in this fight is whatever 3 characters you have in your party + Dhar, so if you already have Dhar, you will only have 3 characters when you should have 4. Having a 4th makes a huge difference for building that meter before Kala's attacks can do too much to you.

Ok, what am I missing here? Her beam attack becomes unblockable after she uses it twice. 2 of those beams is enough to wipe everyone.

Just take the dog (Lanshi) and when the second phase starts, start WHALING on her with all of your units besides Lanshi, always make him sleep so he can build meter. Use your healer after one beam so you can take one more shot, then keep attacking her until 3rd phase then repeat.

I was just stuck on this. Heres what I picked up
1. unequip dhar since you'll get him anyways
2. once you fill up your meter the battle phase advances
3. You cannot use your meter in this fight, so dont rely on it.
4. take ginseng for damage and healing, take lanshi for meter gain
