new game+ doesn't work properly?

i defeated the final boss, after the ending credits i saved my game on the slot used before the final boss, then i chose the same save slot to start a new game + with my ajna level 52. after i started this new game + ajna is with purple hair like we saw in the ending video, but after the first cutsene of the game i noticed in the first bell checkpoint ajna is again at level 1... is it normal? or i have some bugs? when i completed game ajna was level 51, at newgame+ is again at level 1

i'ms so stupid i only had to play a bit and after the first fight of the game i have again my team , also after the first boss i already reached level 40
