oh... i thought i saw them saying they would release a japanese voiceover post launch, im guessing they wont?
For whatever reason, English voice acting (and any other language I happen to understand pieces of) in any animated game, really grates on my nerves. Probably because it never sounds like they're actually talking to each other when characters speak, and most of the voices don't do personalities justice or (or represent the characters at all...).
The English is by far the worst in most of them, though... probably because it's my first language and I can pick up on all the tics and tells much easier than others.
I don't know if that's the case in this game, I only just began playing it... I will usually switch languages BEFORE some character is ruined for me thanks to their VA. I hope it's competently done in this, it looks like a pretty great game, it'd be nice if it didn't make me cringe throughout the entire thing. SOME games have done English voices well, but seldom the case with any kind of animation... for some reason.
Our Japanese publishing partner produced Japanese language VO for their PS4 and Switch versions of the game. Those are the only ones that have it. All other regions are English VO only.
damn that sucks, thanks for clarifying though
i get what you mean, i feel the same way
