Game's Been Great, a Few Questions (Special 1 Attacks and Ringsels)
I'm about 90 mins in.

The character How Tos mention "1" attacks, like Razmi's heal. A rainbow icon and a 1 next to it. What does that mean exactly? Is there a button for it or does it mean it uses 1 meter? If so, how do I do it? Meter burn button + the character's attack button? (I keep using the meter for Ajna's AoE heal/res so I never tried. I don't even know if it's her heal specifically or just a general skill.)

The game keeps track of the total Ringsels I've collected and the current amount I'm carrying and haven't used yet. However, my game says I've a total of 8, I've used 5, and have 2 on me at the moment. So where'd that last one go? Did I miss the fact that I got an early upgrade for just 1 Ringsel? Or what's going on?

Thanks!

I would answer you, but an hour in the combat system totally confuses me.

No clue what "1" is, why I have a slomo button (?) when the best block timing is, why I have a single block and a party block, if I can counter in a fight as well, etc.

Game does either a poor job explaining itself or I suck as expected

Yes, it's meter burn+attack so if Razmi is on A then RB+A. And yes I believe that NPC auto upgrades you when you collect the first Ringsel, pretty sure you get an extra action point directly after that.

The first offense upgrade is at 1, then 5 and 20. For defense it is 5 then 10.

The "1" is a meter burn attack that you can use by pressing slo-mo and a character's attack when you have full Iddhi meter, best block timing is right before you get hit like a parry in other games, single blocking uses less Iddhi meter than party so you only want to party block when multiple people are getting hit. As for counter I'm not entirely sure tbh but probably.

when an enemy targets u your team is going to defend instead if u try to attack, so if the enemy is gonna aoe you would hit LB, if u want a specific character to block hit the button that corresponds with what u would normally use to attack, so if the char who attacks with X is targeted use x to block with just that char, same goes for Y, B, and A as well

also the counter attacks are abilities, so if an enemy tries to hit u to initiate combat those counters can deal damage to said enemy and give u the chance to start the fight instead

Thx (to both posts)!

In the same vein of the question regarding Razmi's "1" ability - I was able to figure out that that means to use the Iddhi meter (RB) + her ATK button in order to have her heal. However, I am confused about the explanation of abilities for Ginseng and Honey. It says you can use her Iddhi power to search around for large items and then use down + ATK or "2" (another rainbow button, this time with "2" in it) to throw the items. In this context, what does the "2" mean?

My wild guess is that we'll unlock the ability to gain more than one charge on the meter and that ability will use 2 charges.

[1] is a level 1 super. [2] is a level 2 super, hold R and press the attack button twice to spend two bars. I'll leave [3] as an exercise for the reader. :lev:

Thanks! That's my best guess as well at the moment, although it seems like if we are able to use down + ATK to throw the items, it shouldn't consume any Iddhi charge at all once you have initially used it to pick up the items in the first place. I haven't had a chance to try that ability yet anyway (remembering to press the Use Meter button during the heat of battle is something I'm still working on, lol), so I guess I'll have to give it a try when I play next and see what happens.
