Can't get PS4 buttons showing up?

So I am using Steam and I've ticked the PS4 support option, checked big picture mode and its showing it as a PS4 controller, but the game is showing it as an xbox 360 controller?

Anyone know how to solve this?

I tried turning off PlayStation Configuration Support, which shows the buttons, but then the game won't use the controller.

Are you running the game in windowed or fullscreen?

are you using third party software to detect the ps4 controller by any chance

No, I turned off DS4windows because I know it treats it as an xbox controller

Try borderless fullscreen and turning off playstation configuration support

that is how mine is set up and it works perfectly fine, hope that help :)

The game seems to be very finnicky with controller recognition. You could also try this:
Indivisible Properties -> Steam Input Per-Game Setting -> Forced Off


For me the first time it worked with this setting, but the next time I launched the game the XBox prompts were back and then turning off the Playstation support did the trick. But the XBox prompts were back again the third time which I fixed by turning the Playstation support on and off again. And now the prompts seem stable. So maybe just try playing around with these settings for a while.

Honestly, it boggles my mind why we can't just manually select the kind of prompts we want instead of going through this whole auto-detect charade.

Yeah.Everything I've tried either gives me the PS4 prompts and then the controller does nothing, or I get the xbox buttons.

Would be nice if there was just a toggle in settings, which buttons do you want, they are both in there anyway.

yeah devs really need to start implementing this simple quality of life function for the pc games, not everyone uses xbos or ps4 controllers, it is even possible to use switch controllers for pc games.

Yes, it is possible to use the Switch Pro controller.

The game natively supports the DS4, so turn off PS4 controller config in Big Picture.

This will, of course, disable DS4 support for every game that doesn't natively support the DS4, but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that you can configure those games individually to support the DS4.
