EDIT: Whoops, actually patch 1.3 was directly shipped to live servers on the last Friday of May, skipping the test server entirely. Not a whole lot changed, though, with that patch, as you will see if you follow the above link and look at the notes yourself.
I played on an EU server, and despite having what appeared my client being delayed for a solid second or two, it did not affect my game experience (as in teleporting mobs, etc.)
Many players have reported randomly losing items and shells as well as very long loading screens and random disconnects. Loading screens can be up to 5 minutes, but then most people just refresh the page before then.
Crunchy games has reported that this is a result of the servers running out of memory or something like that.
Since you are playing on an EU server, there may be less people on one given server at a time. If you were to play on US West, the most populated server, you may experience many disconnects and lag while playing with 40 people per mission.
