mac error when obtaining 6 digit code

in the barrens, when I fix the battery and then go to the computer where the game is supposed to put a file with a 6 digit code on my computer, an error message pops up and if I click ok, the whole screen goes white and I have to restart my computer. The message says:

Operation not permitted @ rb_sysopen - /Users/[my name]/Documents/DOCUMENT.oneshot.txt

I have tried updating the permissions for the game, steam, and terminal and deleted my antivirus software but nothing works. I've played this game on this laptop before and it worked back then but it's not now. I also can't figure out how to delete my saved game if that is what's corrupted.

some other peoples has the same problem, maybe looking for other threads on Steam and find the answer.
I think one of the fix is to have a file name "document" at the same place as the game look for (problem because the file don't exist)

omg I fixed it. I'm doing a replay and I just had to move the original file from the last time I played it to the trash
