SaveLoad error - incompatible marshal file format

Hello! I bought OneShot today and played it for a while, then closed it from the window. When I tried to open it again, this error occured. Is there something I can do to fix it?

It appears that it's just p-settings.dat (SaveLoad.rb line 130 is part of the function that loads that file) that's corrupted, if you delete that file OneShot should restore it automatically, however you'll lose a custom player name if you have one set and if you've made multiple playthroughs of the game it'll revert to behaving like the first playthrough.

You can delete p-settings.dat easily by pressing Windows key + R to open the Run prompt, then paste in the following command and click Run:

move %appdata%\OneShot\p-settings.dat %appdata%\OneShot\p-settings-corrupted.dat

This actually just renames the file so it can be restored in case it's not the cause of the issue.

Unfortunately it looks like you're one of the cases where the savefile itself is corrupt/lost. So please do the following to clear your save:

-turn off Steam Sync
-delete save.dat in the appdata folder
-run the game (OneShot)

This will start you with a fresh save. Turn steam sync back on after you close OneShot again.

Restarting steam normally fixes this issue (quitting steam and relaunching it).
