What graphics card do you have on your computer? (You can find out this information by running dxdiag, which you can do by typing that into the search bar)
Intel(R) GMA 3100 , do I need a higher one? If so what kind, I planned on going today if I have to.

From reading online it looks like that graphics card doesn't have OpenGL compatibility for some reason (at least, according to this thread I found: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2012103 ).

You can try updating the drivers for the video card, but otherwise you might be out of luck until you get a different/newer graphics card (specifically, one with OpenGL 2.1 or higher support).

Hi, I'm having almost word-for-word the same problem, but my processor is Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6500. I was pretty sure i7's were really quite good/advanced/whatever. Am I missing something? Sorry for being so stupid, I juss really wanna play this game 3:

It's not your processor but your graphics card, or lack thereof. You can have the fastest processor in the world but you'll still need video hardware support for OpenGL 2.0 or above (which is an old-ish standard at this point).

Oh got it, thanks so much! I'll look into getting a graphics card. Should have realized processors and graphics cards aren't the same thing. Still find it ironic that a 2d pixelated game is what introduced me to this issue, given my ability to play TF2, Subnautica, and CounterStrike with virtually zero lag, but what ya gonna do. Thanks again!

Sorry for any disturbance but I have the same problem but I have a laptop, is there any way to have a better graphics card? But still, I can play from my other laptop so if I cant solve the problem I will just get my other laptop. Again thanks for the awesome game and sorry for disturbing you. <3

Your best bet is probably the other laptop, as I'm not sure if it's very easy or feasilbe to replace the graphics card on an older laptop (since normally these will be integrated graphics cards).

The game requires OpenGL 2.1 or later support, and that graphics card only supports up to OpenGL 2.0 . So you'll need a computer with a better graphics card to play this game, sorry!

According to what I've seen online, the Intel(R) Q45/Q43 Express Chipset only supports up to OpenGL 2.0. But make sure your graphics drivers are up-to-date if you're going to try with that card.
