how do I start a ng+ run?

I recently deleted the save date from the my games folder in documents to trigger ng+ but nothing is different and from what I know i should have to put in a code. how am I supposed to trigger ng+?

Hello, what do you mean by NG+ ?
If you mean redo the game with minor changement, just need to restart and do the usual way.
if you want to discover a new route, with new character etc. you have to have a book, and explore the Barren's mine.

Late reply: you have to delete the fake save file in the local files of OneShot after finishing the game

(I’ve heard people say it’s a fake save file but I’ve only finished the world machine edition so I wouldn’t know)

Open the ♧ file and the game will give you instructions, but it's basically what Vilah said.
