(so so soooo glad I got the steam version--I'm not sure my heart, could take that)
I heard you can save and close the non-Steam version by putting Niko to bed like you're supposed to in the Steam version, but I've never tried it.
"You have to complete this game in one sitting"
isn't a very attractive proposal to a someone. Not these days when even short games will allow you to save or keep track of your progress. That goes even more so when you're asking people to pay and your game is ~6-10 hours long.
