Is this game a walking sim?
Curious if there's any sort of combat or gameplay elements to this other than puzzles and talking to characters.

Nope, if you're looking for combat, there isn't any.
But it doesn't need it to tell a good story. Without spoiling things, there are some moments that'll make you go 'woah' and 'what the heck.'

I would suggest playing the game before assuming what the game is about.

Thank you.

A walking sim doesn't have any puzzles, doesn't it?

And considering how fast your character can go, it's more like a running simulator? lol

Mmm walking sims can have puzzles. The Witness has a lot of em haha
The Witness is not a walking sim but a puzzle game imo.

A walking sim simulates walking. If it involves doing other things, it's not much of a walking sim.

Walking sims can be good, with a good story and great scenery. I'd argue they may be better than more "generic" video games. Still, if you can combine the good of a walking sim with interactive gameplay (like Witness or Vanishing of Ethan Carter?) then that makes it so much better.
